I primi figli sono più intelligenti e lo dice la scienza. Questo è un discorso che in tutte le famiglie con più figli si fa e ognuno di loro, a seconda di quando è nato, dice che secondo gli studi è più intelligente. Il primogenito dirà che è scientificamente provato che i primi figli sono più astuti degli altri. Il secondogenito dirà che è scientificamente provato che i secondi figli sono più astuti dei primi. Per quanto riguarda i terzi e i quarti, questo discorso nella famiglie si fa molto più raramente. È proprio la “lotta” tra primo e secondo figlio quella più frequente. Secondo uno studio dell’Università di Edimburgo pubblicato sul Journal of Human Resources i primogeniti ottengono punteggi migliori nei test sul quoziente intellettivo.

I ricercatori scozzesi dell’Università di Edimburgo, insieme ai colleghi di Sidney, hanno fatto un test su 5mila bambini. Ad ognuno di loro è stato chiesto di riconoscere ed abbinare lettere, leggere delle parole e disegnare dei vocaboli. Questo da quando sono stati in grado di farlo fino ai quattordici anni, per vedere l’evoluzione e i cambiamenti, ogni due anni. Dopodichè hanno analizzato i risultati in base al comportamento dei loro genitori. I primogeniti hanno spiccato in questo test, dimostrando come siano mentalmente più avanzati dei secondogeniti.

È anche colpa dei genitori

Nel momento dello studio in cui si andavano ad analizzare i comportamenti dei genitori si è notato che questo cambiava a seconda dei figli. O meglio, l’insegnamento era lo stesso, ma l’impegno che ci si metteva nel farlo era differente. Con il secondo figlio non passavano più del tempo a fare lettura, scrittura e tutte quelle pratiche che stimolano il cervello. Per questo motivo sono più propensi ad eccellere in arti meno intellettuali e più pratiche.

Altri test sui bambini

Altri test sono stati fatti precedentemente a questo. L’Università dell’Essex ha dimostrato che i primogeniti sono più ambiziosi ed hanno più successo negli studi, nel lavoro e nella vita. Pensate che in un famiglia con più bambini, il primo figlio ha il 16% di possibilità in più di avere un’istruzione migliore. In più le mamme over 30 fanno figli più intelligenti. Quindi se primogenito e con mamma over sarà sicuramente un genio (secondo la scienza)! Naturalmente esistono delle eccezioni. E questi test sono fatti su un gruppo di bambini che non rappresentano la totalità dei bimbi che sono al mondo. Voi mamme con due o più figli cosa ne pensate? I vostri primogeniti sono più intelligenti dei secondogeniti o viceversa?
