Il pianto dei neonati

Il pianto per un neonato è un modo per esprimere i propri bisogni, la prima forma di comunicazione che tutti noi abbiamo utilizzato.
Inoltre, questa emissione di suoni e voce, apparentemente incomprensibili, non è causale, ma dipende dalla lingua materna. Secondo uno studio tedesco i vagiti dei neonati sarebbero differenti in ogni lingua.
Kathleen Wermeke, esperta nello sviluppo dei processi del linguaggio dell’Università di Wuerzburg, ha guidato un gruppo di ricerca con l’obiettivo di comprendere l’ispirazione fonetica del pianto dei neonati.
In parole semplici, i ricercatori si sono domandati se il pianto dei neonati sia uguale per tutti i bambini di tutto il mondo o dipenda dal paese di origine.

Gli studi condotti fin ora concordavano nel sostenere che negli ultimi 3 mesi di gravidanza il feto percepisce i rumori esterni. Tuttavia, la maggior parte dei ricercatori, ritenevano che lo sviluppo della lingua iniziasse molto più tardi. Invece lo studio tedesco sostiene che, a tre giorni di vita, il neonato piange utilizzando differenti tonalità.
Queste conclusioni sono state tratte dall’analisi del pianto di 60 neonati, metà appartenenti a famiglie tedesche e metà francesi.
Sulla rivista Current Biology i ricercatori spiegano che i vagiti dei bambini riflettono chiaramente la melodia della lingua materna. Il pianto dei neonati ha una modulazione simile a quella degli adulti nelle rispettive lingue materne. Questo significa che il pianto dei bambini non è il semplice prodotto collaterale della respirazione.

Il neonato piange per cause specifiche e con un’intonazione personale determinata dalla sua lingua di origine.
Ascoltando le sequenze audio del pianto di due neonati di tre giorni, uno tedesco e uno francese si possono riconoscono differenze tipiche tra la le due lingue.
In particolare il pianto del neonato tedesco tende a iniziare con un picco acustico, quello francese, invece, ha frequenze di picco soprattutto nella parte finale.
Il pianto rappresenta per un bebè la prima forma di espressione. Il neonato ha bisogno di tempo per abituarsi a tutti i cambiamenti della sua nuova vita extra uterina.

Solo provando a distinguere i vari tipi di pianto possiamo capirne le motivazioni e dare delle risposte adeguate.
Il bimbo che ha fame non smetterà di piangere se viene semplicemente cullato. Le motivazioni che sono più di frequente alla base del pianto sono i bisogni fisiologici, come la fame e il sonno e malesseri diversi. Ma anche il desiderio di attenzione può provocare il pianto del neonato.
Moltissimi studi sostengono che le esigenze dei neonati non siano limitate alla sfera fisiologiche, ma che abbiamo anche necessità di carattere affettivo. I bambini, fin da piccolissimi, traggono conforto dalle coccole. Il pianto può essere un modo per manifestare il loro bisogno di rassicurazione.

La ricerca tedesca conferma, inoltre, l’importanza degli stimoli acustici per i bambini nella fase prenatale.
Lo studio parla di influenza materna nella tonalità di emissione del pianto perché la mamma è la persona che passa più tempo con il neonato, specie durante la gravidanza.
Ma, come sappiamo, anche la voce paterna è davvero importante per il feto. Diversi studi hanno dimostrato come sia la presenza che l’interazione con il papà anche prima della nascita sia decisiva. Il papà può fare la differenza, sia per la mamma che per il bebè, anche quando il bimbo è ancora nel grembo materno.
Ogni bambino è un essere unico e speciale, desideroso di cure ed affetto, in particolare da parte dei suoi genitori.
